The Theatre Historical Society of America (“THS”) purchased the Hollywood Theater at 1449 Potomac Avenue in Dormont on February 16, 2018, and since that date, Jump Cut Theater (formerly Friends of the Hollywood Theater) (“Jump Cut”) has ceased all programming at that location. THS is now exclusively operating and programming movies and other events at the Hollywood Theater. Jump Cut is currently programming at a number of different locations, pending its location of a new permanent venue.
Jump Cut and THS are unaffiliated organizations. Both organizations are moving forward, and all claims or disputes between the two organizations have been resolved amicably.
